Workshop FAQ’s

Welcome to the Kate’s Garden Workshop FAQ page! Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive:

Where are the workshops located?

All our workshops are located at 227 Main Street North Unit 3 (Station Plaza) in Markham, ON.

How big are the workshops?

Our workshops are generally 8 to 12 people in size depending on the topic. These are hands-on, make and take workshops, and expertly led in a relaxed atmosphere. All tools and materials will be provided.

Do I need experience with flowers or plants to attend the workshop?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, and beginners are especially welcome.

How can I make a workshop purchase?

You can purchase a workshop in three convenient ways: By phone, call us at 905-554-8899; In person at our Botanical Boutique; or online. When checking out online, you’ll notice our system runs through PayPal. A PayPal account is not required - simply select “pay with credit card or debit card” at checkout. If you are interested in making two products, please purchase two spaces.

Can I cancel if something comes up?

If something comes up and you can not attend, with less than 48 hours notice, our workshops are non-refundable. Instead, you will receive a take home kit or the finished product. If we cancel a workshop due to lack of registration, your money is refunded or converted into a store credit for future use.

How long are the workshops?

Typically, the average length is approximately 60-90 minutes.

Can I bring a guest or child?

To ensure a focused and safe environment for all participants, workshops are for registered attendees only. We kindly ask that you do not bring guests or young children. If you are assisting someone with special needs, you do not need to pay.

Is there a waiting list if a workshop is sold out?

Yes! If a workshop is fully booked, you can join our waiting list. We’ll notify you if a spot becomes available.

Important Notes:

We do our best to start on time. If you are late to a workshop, we will catch you up — please do your best to respect the time of other participants.

We kindly ask that cell phones be kept on on silent during our workshops. Recording or filming is not permitted. Participants are welcome to take photos after the workshop has concluded. Thank you!
