Homes for the Holidays
The Homes for the Holidays House Tour is a unique designer showcase that promotes culture, business development and tourism by putting the holiday spotlight on Markham. The event kicks off the holiday season in style. Teams of local designers decorate seven beautiful homes in Markham and Unionville, inside and out. Generous homeowners open their homes to over 2000 visitors allowing local florists, interior and exterior designers and lighting specialists to showcase their incredible talents.
The House Tour is a two day event that includes two receptions hosted at the Varley Art Gallery. The exclusive Twilight Tour, held on the Friday evening includes gourmet fare, entertainment and wine tasting. Saturday offers refreshments and holiday decorating inspirations. Both receptions include holiday boutique shopping with draws and giveaways helping to create a festive ambience.
Proceeds from the tour are shared equally between the Varley-McKay Art Foundation, which supports the Varley Art Gallery of Markham and the Breast Health Centre and Cancer Clinic at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
Kate is one of the co-chairs of the Homes for the Holidays House Tour.
